Available at the Children's Centre in Norton Road.
Self contained area for 6 babies and 6 toddlers.
The children follow the Birth to Three Matters framework supporting their learning, exploration and discovery in a caring, nurturing, calm atmosphere.A keyworker system ensures continuity of care and allows the development of a relationship between the child, parent and carer.
Pre-school up to 5 years
Available at the Playcentre in Camps Road and the Children's Centre in Norton Way.
Free Early Education places are offered for every three and four year old, these are funded by the Government through the local authority. Each child is entitled to five two and a half hour sessions per week for eleven weeks of each term from the start of the term following their third birthday.
The children follow the Foundation Stage Curriculum for 3-5 year olds.
This focuses on the six areas of learning listed below, each area of learning has a set of related early learning goals.
Personal, social and emotional development
Communication, language and literacy
The development of knowledge and understanding of the world
